As a strategic step towards promoting the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Eastern Partnership countries, the project “Digital Transformation of SMEs in the Eastern Partnership Countries” (DT4SME) has been launched. Supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented in the Eastern Partnership countries by the German Organisation for International Cooperation (GIT), the project comprises activities to strengthen competitiveness and innovation.
An important aspect of the project involves the establishment and development of a network of Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH) in Azerbaijan. To enrich this strategy with real-world insights and experiences, existing European DIHs – including 4PDIH – were invited.
The Task Force organised a series of one-hour webinars that took place between 13-24 November 2023, during which time representatives of DIHs offered insights into the processes of setting up and running their organisations. The presentations focused on key aspects such as DIH objectives, specialisation, consortium partners and the range of services offered.
The webinar series brought together, alongside representatives of the different DIHs, key players of the Azerbaijani innovation ecosystem who will play a key role in the further establishment and development of DIHs in Baku.
